الصحفي ابراهيم عبد الحسن مراسل موقع سومريون نت وقال : هذه ليست المرة الاولى التي اتعرض فيها للمسالة القانونية فقد سيقها دعوة قضائية اقامها ضدي مدير شرطة ذي قار على خلفية موضوع كتبه شخص اخر ونشر في موقع سومريون نت وقد برات من قبل القضاء لعدم وجود دليل قانوني ومبرر للدعوى .اليوم ايضا اقام مدير شرطة ذي قار دعوى اخرى على خلفية موضوع نشره لفيف من اهالي البطحاء في موقع سومريون نت ولاعلاقة لي بالموضوع كونه يحمل شكوى للفيف من ابناء ناحية البطحاء لذلك اناشد الجهات الاعلامية والصحفية الوقوف معنا للدفاع عن حقوقنا التي يكفلها الدستور العراقي . |

sentenced in June 2002 to one year in a Cairo jail for posting
his father's poem on the Internet and creating the site Wedada
which includes all his father's work. The pome, which was
removed from his site shortly after his arrest, is a bitter
reflection on the state of Egyptian society and culture after
Egypt was defeated in the 1967 war against Israel. In the
poem, Naguib Surur condemned Egyptian government and politics,
using explicit sexual imagery and colloquial street Arabic.

اما الصحفي جواد كاظم اسماعيل مراسل موقع سومريون نت فجاء بافادته : لم تكن تلك الدعوى الاولى فقد تعرضت لاخرى سابقة ومن قبل قيادة شرطة ذي قار على اثر مقال نشره موقع سومريون نت كان يتناول مدينة الطب في بغداد ولاعلاقة له بقيادة شرطة ذي قار ولا علاقة لي بالموضوع بتاتا ولازالت القضية قائمة لحد الان اما اليوم تكرر قيادة شرطة ذي قار اقامة دعوى على خلفية شكوى لاهالي البطحاء نشر في موقع سومريون نت ولاعلاقة لي به وصدر مذكرة قبض بحقي تحمل الرقم 5950 بتاريخ 1/8/2007 وفق المادة 435 ق. ع .

The
journalist 'Abd al-Raziq al-Mansuri writes for a website based
in Britain 
Student
of law at Al AzharUniversity, Amer was detained in 2005 for
some time in reference of what he published online discussing
critical issues about Islam and Egypt. He was also kicked
out of Al Azhar following an investigation regarding his writings.
Sentenced
in January 06 by the Iraqi Kurdistan government for posting
defamatory articles on the Internet.
Arrested
12 January 05, and on 19th October 2005, Mansuri was sentenced
to one year and six months imprisonment for publishing an
article critical of the Libyan government on the Internet.
The article was published in www.akhbar-libya.com, which
is a publication based in the UK. He was released 2 March
06. 
A
blog writer, Ali Abdel Rahman was arrested in Bahrain on
27 February 2005, and charged with defaming royalty.He has
since been released.
The
court sentenced Abou to 18 months in prison for an article
he wrote that "insulted the judiciary" and "was
likely to disturb the public order," offenses under the
press code and the penal code, respectively - on 28 April

Former
Jordanian MP arrested for publishing a letter to the King
on the Internet asking him to intervene in the corruption
of his prime minister. She was later sentenced to 18 months

journalism student and a member of Syria's Kurdish minority,
is imprisoned for posting online photos of Kurdish demonstrations
in Syria. 
Arrested
during an anti-war demonstration in Cairo. One of the charges
against him was that he was surfing the Internet for human
rights sites. His computer was seized and all his disks. He
was released 11 March 04. 
Arrested
23 February 03 for sending an e-mail newsletter from the banned
website http://www.thisissyria.net . His trial on March 15th
was was adjourned until 2 May 2004 by the Supreme State Security
Court (SSSC). He was sentenced on June 20th 04 to two years
