Cairo and Alexandria Workshops 2006-2007
The Center for Knowledge Society has organized a series of workshops in Cairo and Alexandria, in December 06. The workshops included training for many members of civil society including Journalists, NGOs and Judges. Additional training was organized by the Center's Program Officer Doaa Hassan, and included training in several informal settlements around Cairo.
Journalists received training on citizen journalism and open source software as well as other aspects on Internet training. Thw roskhops were entitled E-Journalism: Principles, Aims, Tools. The Judges' workshop included issues regarding intellectual property, censorship laws, and open source software and was entitled The Internet: Current Issues and Laws.
