Yeomans Award for Local Content

The inaugural "Yeomans Award for Local Content" aims to encourage and bring to international recognition projects and experiences which demonstrate the transformative nature of local content, and the methodologies which are used to achieve this in different contexts. Local content is the expression of the locally owned and adapted knowledge of a community - where the community is defined by its location, culture, language, or area of interest. The award is given jointly by the Global Knowledge Partnership (www.globalknowledge.org <http://www.globalknowledge.org/ ) and the Open Knowledge Network.
