• Both the MENGOS project and Virtual Activism cannot verify the veracity of the mission statements of every organization, whether those mentioned in the database or in the articles/reports that are published on this site. We have taken those mission statements either directly from the organizations or copied them from their websites. It is the user's responsibility to verify those statements.   - Nonprofit organizations whose principles agree with the principles upon which Virtual Activism was founded. Those principles are embraced in the UDHR and in other internationally acknowledged documents, and they include belief in freedom of expression, freedom of belief, democracy, human rights, and women's rights, as well non-political organizations that deal with development and developmental issues [eg. disabled, youth, environment etc].

  - Nonprofit organizations whose work involves rights-related or development-related activities and whose principles agree with the principles upon which Virtual Activism was founded.

  - Individuals conducting campaigns for liberal and democratic causes.
   

• We reserve the right to deny a listing to anyone and to remove any listing without providing reasons for denial or removal.
