The publication of the first shadow report by the Coalition of Integrity and Transparency for the Implementation of the UNCAC

The Coalition of Integrity and Transparency for the Implementation of the UNCAC, has the pleasure to introduce the first preliminary "Shadow Report" that has been recently presented before the Conference of the Coalition of Civil Society Friends of UNCAC which was held on the sideline of the Second Conference of States Parties to the UNCAC in Bali in the period from January 28th- February 1st 2008.  The Report was produced after a series of meeting (six meetings), held at the premises of the Arab Office for Law (AOL), which were attended by representatives of civil society, experts and activists concerned with promotion  Integrity and  transparency . 

 
The Report included several  important observations and remarks that included, freedom of access to information, judicial independence, and evaluation of the Committee of Integrity and Transparency established by the Ministry of Administrative Development , and  protection of whistleblowers.
 
Participants to the Coalition for Integrity and Transparency for the Implementation of the UNCAC , thought to produce the Shadow report in order to uncover the flagrant   violations of the Egyptian government to the terms of the UNCAC  which it  officially signed in December 2003
